Your Google Business Profile Is Your New Front Door

When someone in Cookeville searches for a coffee shop, a dentist or a photographer, the first thing they see usually isn't your website. It's your Google Business Profile: the box with your hours, photos, reviews and a map. For a lot of local businesses, it gets more views than every other piece of marketing combined. And it's free.

Claim it and fill in everything

Search for your business on Google. If you see "Own this business?", claim it. Then fill in every field: hours (including holiday hours), phone, website, services, a short description and the area you serve. Profiles with complete information show up more often and look more trustworthy.

Photos matter more than you think

Businesses with real photos get far more clicks and calls than ones with a single logo or a blurry street shot. Add photos of your storefront so people recognize it, the inside of your space, your team, and your work or products. Skip stock photos. People can tell, and it makes you look less established.

Ask for reviews, then answer them

Happy customers rarely leave reviews unless you ask. Send a short text with your review link after a good experience. Then reply to every review, good or bad. A calm, kind reply to a complaint often wins over more people than the five-star reviews do.

Post like it's social media

You can share updates, offers and events right on your profile. A quick post every week or two keeps your listing fresh and gives people a reason to choose you today.
