Five Photos Every Team Should Get This Season

A season goes by fast. One day it's the first practice and the next it's senior night. Here are the five photos players and parents always wish they had, so you can plan for them now.
1. The action shot
The jump shot, the tackle, the dig, the finish line. A sharp, close action photo is the one that ends up framed on the wall. It takes the right lens and the right spot on the sideline, which is why phone photos from the stands rarely get it.
2. The team photo
Everyone together, in uniform, early in the season while the jerseys are still clean. It's the photo coaches use all year for programs, social media and fundraisers.
3. The individual portrait
A clean portrait of each player for rosters, programs and banners. Seniors especially want a great one.
4. The sideline moments
Huddles, high fives, a coach talking to a player, the bench going wild. These show what the season actually felt like, and parents love them.

5. Senior night and the last game
The emotional ones. Seniors with their families, the walk across the field or court, the last time in that uniform. Book these early. Every team wants the same few nights.
How to make it easy
The simplest way is to plan one or two game days with a photographer and share a single online gallery with every family. Parents can download and order prints, and the team gets photos for the whole year.
I shoot sports across the Upper Cumberland, from youth leagues to high school varsity. Book a game day.
