Short Video for Small Businesses: Where to Start

Video is the most powerful marketing tool most small businesses aren't using. Usually it's because it feels expensive or complicated. It doesn't have to be. If I were starting from zero, here are the three videos I'd make first.
1. The "who we are" video
One to two minutes. You, talking about why you started the business and who you help, with a few shots of your space and your people. This goes on your website's home page and pinned at the top of your social profiles. It's the video that turns a stranger into someone who feels like they know you.
2. The "how it works" video
Walk a new customer through what happens when they hire you or visit you. It answers the questions that keep people from calling, and it saves you from answering them over and over.

3. A customer's story
Nothing sells like a real customer explaining what changed for them. Keep it honest and short. One good testimonial video can carry your marketing for a year.
Then cut it down
Once you have those three, every one of them can become five or six short clips for Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. That's months of posts from a single shoot day.
Let's make yours
I shoot brand videos, testimonials, social content and webinars for businesses across the Upper Cumberland, with multi-camera setups, a teleprompter if you want one, and fast turnaround. Tell me about your project.
